Meet the team
Hugo Miranda de Morais graduated from the University of Lisbon in 2017 and has been working as a contract archaeologist ever since, alternating between rescue archaeology in construction sites, heritage consulting projects as well as collaborating with research projects. As a result, he has dug extensively all round center/south of Portugal and worked in all the chronological periods.
Hugo's first approach to working on megalithism was in the context of the MEGAGEO research project, a broad project focused on identifying the geological provenience of dolmens stone slabs, directed by the late, Dr Rui Boaventura. Ever since, he has occasionally worked on some dolmens around the Municipality of Redondo with Rui Mataloto.
